Whats new at Gorgeous Yarns?
Hello Friends. I am very pleased to tell you that we now have Purely Gorgeous Aran back in stock, this time its a sumptuous 50:50 blend of Merino and Alpaca, and oh my word, its GORGEOUS! It works to standard tension for Aran, and it has the most beautiful drape and sheen with cloud softness, perfect for a really special project. Why not try our Oxford Shrug pattern with this yarn?

We have a new Gorgeous Yarns DK in our Purely Gorgeous Range. Its a British Corriedale DK, ideal for sweaters and cardigans, ponchos and other garments. The Corriedale breed of sheep is a cross between Merino and Lincoln sheep and combines the softness and fine fibre of Merino with the ease of farming and quality of Lincoln sheep. The wool has a soft lustre and feel, great stitch definition and we are very proud to add it to our collection.

Our Events season starts next weekend with Woolly Weekend at Kelly House. This event has been going for 8 years and is always a fun weekend with lots of woolly lovelies! Come along , if you can, to say hello! You’ll be spoiled for choice with all the beautiful fibres, yarns and products available.
Have a look at the other events we will be at this autumn here and see if we are near you, or you fancy a trip out for retail therapy of the yarny kind! Its always lovely to meet customers, make new friends and share our love of wool, fibres, knitting and crochet.
Don’t forget there are still a few Christmas Stocking Bunting Kits left to pre-order and they will be posted at the end of this month. Don’t miss out on this fun little kit! Its perfect as a gift or made and used in your home this Christmas. Why not fill each one with presents? (I am reliably informing Mr G that the stockings are the perfect size for a bottle of perfume, lipstick, miniature wine or Prosecco. His will have chocolate, tech gadgets and blokey things!)

Bye for now,
Caroline
