Time For Teal is a charity fundraiser to raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer, organised by my friend Lyn Roberts, silversmith, knitter and all round amazing woman! Lyn has had gorgeous natural laceweight, 4ply and DK yarns specially dyed and made up into kits with patterns donated to make something with each weight of yarn, plus yarn will be available separately, as well as 2 exclusive patterns by Belinda Harris-Read and yours truly. Lyn says ” each Time for Teal kit is designed specially for the love of the yarn. Each yarn is dyed in teal which is the signature colour for World Ovarian Cancer day on 8th May. All the proceeds of the kits, yarn and patterns will go to Target Ovarian Cancer and World Ovarian cancer. Target Ovarian Cancer are the biggest UK charity devoted to research and awareness of Ovarian cancer.”

Kits will be available from 7th may, at Helston Flora day where I will have a stand in the Methodist Church hall, come and have a tea, coffee and cake and buy a kit! I have designed a shawlette for Lyn’s fundraising, its made with 100g of 4ply, and includes knitting and crochet. This pattern will be available for £3.00 after 8th may, and all proceeds will go to the charity on an ongoing basis. What do you think of it?
The kits will be £12 for the Dk, 100g organic merino and a crochet wrist warmer pattern; £15 for the 4ply 100g Blue Face Leicester wool and bamboo and a sock pattern, and £18 for 150g Laceweight Blue Face Leicester and silk with a gorgeous shawl pattern. Patterns will be £3, and yarn will also be available at £9.00 for DK, £12 for 4ply and £15 for 150g Laceweight as well as specially made Time For Teal stitch markers.
