All the information on the Gorgeous Yarns online shop website is accurate to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot guarantee that all product descriptions are current and error free. We will correct errors as soon as they are brought to our attention. Colour names and swatches are for your convenience only. Because of the difference in which computer screens display colours, the colour that you see may not match the actual colour of the yarn. If a product you have ordered is not as described, you may cancel your order and return the Goods to us in an unused re-saleable condition for a refund. If colour matching is essential, please ask for a free colour swatch. Most of the yarns sold by Gorgeous Yarns are hand dyed in small batches; there is some natural variation in colour of the yarns, and dye lots may not be able to be matched for a big order of a number of skeins. In this situation we suggest that you work with 2 skeins of different dye lots at the same time, alternating rows worked.
Prices and Payment
Standard Payment terms – Gorgeous Yarns’ standard terms of payment are pay before delivery. Payment is made via PayPal, a secure payment processor and our preferred method of payment. We will send you an e-mail to confirm when your order has been processed. Full payment is required at the time of payment.
Prices are correct at the time of uploading the website and goods are invoiced at the prices detailed at the time of the order. Charges are made for all delivery options except where detailed otherwise. Gorgeous Yarns reserves the right to change and amend the prices in orders which have not been accepted. The customer can view the online shop in £pound sterling. We will send you an e-mail when your order has been processed.
Proof of Transaction
The records stored in Gorgeous Yarns computer systems under reasonable safety conditions are considered proof of communications, orders and payments made between the parties. Purchase orders and invoices are stored on a reliable and durable system and can be produced as evidence.
Dispatch and Delivery
Products are delivered to the address specified by the customer on the purchase order and only to geographic zones that we service. All products leave our premises in perfect condition, carefully packaged. The customer must notify the carrier (or postman) and Gorgeous Yarns of damage (holes, signs of crushing, etc.) to the parcel, (and refuse the package if necessary.)
If accepted, the customer will return the parcel in its original packaging and return it to Gorgeous Yarns with delivery invoice etc. Return postage will be refunded to the customer and a new, identical product will then be sent to the customer at no additional charge. Where the item ordered cannot be replaced like for like, an alternative will be offered to the customer on return of the damaged goods, either by the carrier or the customer. No exchanges can be made at a later time for goods claiming to be damaged during carriage without notification at the time of reception. As with any shipment, a delay or loss of goods is possible. In such a case, the carrier shall start an investigation. Every effort is made, for as long as necessary, to find the package. If the package is not found, the carrier will reimburse THE MERCHANT, who will deliver a new, identical package to the customer free of charge. We shall not be held responsible for delayed delivery times due to the carrier, including for the loss of goods, bad weather or strikes.
Out of Stock Goods
In the event that we do not have enough stock to complete your order, we will email or phone you to advise. You may wish to have your requested items back-ordered at that point, take part delivery or cancel the order. Please note that it can take between 10 and 28 days to re-stock from some of Gorgeous Yarns overseas suppliers.
Goods returned to Gorgeous Yarns must be accompanied by a copy of the original receipt, order number, customer’s email address, phone number and delivery address. All goods should be sent recorded delivery, and must be insured for the full value of the contents. Gorgeous Yarns cannot be responsible for lost or uninsured packages. Cancellation of an Order/Right to Withdraw
In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, You have the right to cancel your order any time up and including seven (7) working days after delivery. For a full refund, you must contact us in writing (by email or by letter, see Returns, above), but not by telephone, within seven days, and goods must be returned unopened and in a re-saleable condition. You will be responsible for the original shipping costs, and the cost of returning the goods. We cannot be liable for returned goods which are lost or damaged in transit, so please ensure you use a recorded delivery service and insure the items for their value. You will receive a cheque from us or a credit will appear on your credit or debit card within thirty days of our receipt of the goods.

All personal data you provide us is used to process your orders. This data will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection principles outlined in the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not disclose customer information to any third parties. Registered customers will be emailed by Gorgeous Yarns from time to time, with news about the shop unless they opt out of this service.
Neither Gorgeous Yarns nor the customer will be deemed to be in breach of any of its obligations under the agreement as a result of any delay in performing or any failure to perform any such obligations by reason of any cause or event beyond the parties’ control. A force majeure event includes, but is not limited to, any unforeseeable, inevitable, or unstoppable act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond the control of either party, despite all reasonable efforts made to the contrary. In addition to events usually recognized by the British courts, a force majeure event includes in particular (without limitation) the following: Strike, lock-out, earthquake, fire, storm, flood, lightning, explosion, impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks. In such circumstances, the party delayed or unable to perform (“Delayed Party”) shall notify the other party (“Affected Party”) within ten (10) business days following the date such events become known.
