Cornish Calendula Kit

Calendula flowers, grown in my garden in Cornwall give a beautiful range of colours from pale apricot to warm peach and orange. They are organically grown and harvested and dried ready to be used in a dye pot of as a colour for solar dye kits.

This kit contains all you need to solar dye your own skein of luxury yarn: 4ply merino/silk/yak yarn, Calendula dye flowers, alum mordant, gloves, full instructions and a free pattern. All you need to do is add a 1.5l jar and water. The colour will slowly infuse and dye the yarn over a period of 3-12 months, just leave your jar on a sunny window ledge, in a porch or shed and let nature do the rest. It really is that easy to create a beautiful hand dyed skein of your own gorgeous yarn.
