Bordeaux Shrug – Printed copy
Bordeaux Shrug is a simple shrug, perfect for the spring and summer, knitted in Nurturing Fibres EcoFusion cotton/bamboo blend or any DK weight cotton. It takes 400g and is 1 size.
Inspired by a boat trip on the Dordoigne river last summer in France, with the sunlight catching the ripples on the water and the waves gently lapping the river bank, this is echoed in the lacy stitch and border wave design. It is suitable for intermediate knitters who are confident with 2 lacy patterns at the same time on each row, with a 13 row lacy border pattern.
The Bordeaux shrug is knitted in one shaped piece, then “folded” to create the shape, with the optional cuff ribs added before sewing up. The rib is Brioche stitch, but could be done in a standard rib if you prefer for a closer fit.
Bordeaux can also be knitted with any DK weight wool for a winter cosy version, using the same pattern it takes 600g of the DK/Worsted weight yarn.
This is the Printed copy of the pattern which will be sent to you on the post. If you prefer a downloadable version, please click this link…
