Blue Faced Leicester (BFL) Aran – Undyed

Blue Faced Leicester sheep wool is one of the nicest British breed wools for softness and versatility.  BFL is a creamy, soft wool with slight lustre and is suitable to wear next to the skin. (Its called Blue Face because the sheep’s head is a soft grey blue colour.)

Blue Faced Leicester Aran can be used just as it is for a wide variety of garments and accessories, but can also be skein dyed or garment dyed if you wish. It is soft and smooth to knit and crochet with, has good stitch definition. This yarn is perfect for the Oxford Poncho, one of the most popular Gorgeous Yarns patterns and will show off the lattice stitching beautifully. We recommend hand wash only for this luxury yarn. Wash gently with a liquid wool wash and blot dry with a towel, then finish drying flat away from direct heat.
