The Almanac Natural Dye Kit

This natural dye kit is designed to give you a month-by-month year of colourful fun using natural dyes, almanac style! The dyes will be a mixture of home grown and from across the world so you can get a variety of colours to inspire you.

The natural dyes will be pre-weighed and individually packaged, and will have basic instructions for use to create a dye in a saucepan and then dye yarn. (NB. Do not use this pan for any food after it has been used to dye in.) There will also be instructions to use the dyes in a Kilner type solar jar.

The kit comes in a Gorgeous Yarns printed eco-canvas project bag which is made in the UK and is a handy size for knit and crochet projects on the go. A rose gold patterned gift box makes this a perfect gift.

The Kit contains:

Twelve packages, all in a Gorgeous Yarns eco-canvas project bag. The packages will contain a variety of 9 natural dyes with mordants, to dye 4 mini skeins (20g each) of yarn which are also included. There will be a couple of surprise packages too!

The amount of dyes in the packages will dye 12 (or more) mini skeins. Instructions will be for immersion/dye pan dyeing and solar dyeing. Dyes include cochineal, madder, chamomile, pomegranate, elm bark and walnut. Why not open one package a month and use it alongside the Natural Dyer’s Almanac

You can add extra mini skeins of yarn, and a copy of the Almanac itself by selection from the options.
