Here’s a sneaky peek at what you get in the kit this month….

February at Gorgeous Yarns, DIY Dye kit of the month

With all the bad weather we seem to be having this month, its the ideal time to settle down at home with a cup (or glass!) of something nice to drink, your current WIP and dream of spring which surely must be just around the corner. What are you working on at the moment? I have started the pattern design for the March DIY Daylight Dye kit, this time its a crochet pattern, simple to make which shows off the beautiful colour and texture of the yarn. Keep watching the blog page and our social media channels to find out more. I’m also knitting a cardigan for myself in Purely Gorgeous British Corriedale DK. Its an interesting design and construction; a pattern I found in an old copy of Knitting magazine. (They have recently updated their look and layout, check it out.)

I’m looking forward to being able to get out in the dye garden again. There’s a lot of work to do as everything has been battered and soaked by the weather. I have Tansy seeds to plant as well as last year’s perennial dye plants to cut back and revive. Tansy flowers and Greenweed are the featured dye stuffs for next months kit and together give the most amazing yellow colour. Look at the blog next month for more information.

February at Gorgeous Yarns is always a month to plan and get ready for she shows this year. In case you missed it, here’s the list of the shows we will be at this year…. We will be slowly revealing our new “look” for the show display too, starting with our new logo at Cornwoolly.

Well, its raining again so I’m off to put the kettle on and pick up my crochet.

Bye for now,
