Gorgeous Yarns are on the road again this autumn with an exciting series of events. We hope you can come and say hello and see our Gorgeous Yarns for yourself.
Here are the events:
Toby’s Garden and Harvest Festival at Forde Abbey, nr Chard in Somerset. We will be in the Artisan marquee. This is a real fun event with lots of demonstrations, workshops and things for all the family to do.
Kelly House Woolly Weekend at Kelly House, nr Lifton, Devon. This is the 4th year we have been at this show, beautiful surroundings in the very old home of the Kelly family. Lots of woolly and yarn related stands with everything from hand dyed Gorgeous Yarns, felted items, woven rugs and blankets, hand made wool items and lots more.
3BagsFull at Liskeard town hall is a fast and fun 4 hour event, and a brilliant chance to buy some lovely hand dyed and luxury yarns, as well as lots of other yarn and fibre related things. There are workshops all week too which are very popular, why not have a go and learn something new?
Buckfastleigh Wool Gathering is on Sunday 21/10/18, 10-4pm at the town hall in Buckfastleigh. This is the first year Gorgeous Yarns will be at this event, so an adventure for us! Described by the organisers: As the season turns, and people are beginning to dream of snuggly wool jumpers, we’ll gather again to make and celebrate just in time for visitors to stock up on local wool and autumnal coloured yarns for fireside knitting and gift making. Sounds like fun!
Stitchfest SW at Totnes is such a favourite for us. It’s held in 2 locations in the town centre, The Civic Hall and the nearby school, and has everything fluffy, yarny, woolly and textile related you could want! Lots of workshops are also held on both days.
Lastly, we will be at Music and Makers Winter Fair at Marazion Community Centre on 10/11/18. Gorgeous Yarns are very proud to organising and supporting this event in its first year, and proceeds are going to Breathing Space Singers. (A self supporting group for people with chronic lung conditions.) Keep watching the Facebook page for more information.
Hope to see you soon!
