At Gorgeous Yarns we take the information you give us very seriously. Our website is “hosted” on a data safe platform and our “shop” processes use Woo Commerce which has stringent data protection systems embedded. The data we store is only saved for the purposes of processing your order, and to send you newsletter emails if you have opted in. If you wish your data to be deleted after your order has been processed, please contact us at gorgeousyarns@gmail.com and we will do this straight away for you.
If I take your order over the phone, any details I write are immediately shredded after your order is processed. Any details you submit via the website shopping cart are confidential. I can only see your name and address to process the order. I cannot see or access any log-in or password details and I cannot see any payment or card details. Your card payment is protected by PayPal.
When you sign up for our mailing list you will be sent a confirmation email which will also have an opt out link. If at anytime you want to stop receiving newsletters and information from us you can unsubscribe using the emailed link, or by emailing gorgeousyarns@gmail.com and asking me to unsubscribe you. If you sign up by completing the form at an event, we need to store this as proof that you have given consent to be on our mailing list. These forms are also kept in a locked filing cabinet.
If you have signed up to our mailing list newsletter, you have already given us permission to contact you via e-mail. We will not abuse this trust you have placed in us, and will respect your privacy. The newsletter will come via email to your mail box once a month, and we may also send you occasional promotional emails detailing special offers. We will never sell your information or pass it on to any third party.
