I’ve been enjoying being a customer

It’s very useful being a customer and noticing what other retailers and online companies do, and how they treat customers. I have just been to Wonderwool Wales as a customer, and it was great fun browsing, but also noticing….I don’t know about you, but I notice the little details, and I have tried to give the same level of service for Gorgeous Yarns customers as I like myself. So, we wrap your yarns in tissue paper, tied with a ribbon, and include a sample of Soak wash or other small free gift. Most importantly we aim to have your parcel in the post the same day, or very next working day after you place an order. We can post all over the world and try to ensure that our postage rates are as competitive as possible. (We have had to put them up slightly recently due to Royal Mail price increases.) Here are a few recent customer comments:

“Just to let you know the order has arrived today. Thank you for sending it ever so quickly.”

“Thank you for sending my needle set so fast. Really pleased.”

Being a customer is also exciting for me when I’m thinking about Gorgeous Yarns into the future. I find it leads me to try new products, yarns, colours, ideas, patterns, techniques…. and this helps me develop things for Gorgeous Yarns customers. A  good place for new things is at a show. At Wonderwool Wales this year I  began to develop my ideas for natural plant dyeing and bought a couple of kits, I have to admit I’m a teensy bit very excited! I want to offer limited edition collections of these hand dyed all natural yarns, more in a blog later this year.

Have you tried our gift wrapping service? We can gift wrap any purchase for you, for a small extra charge, and we use the best wrapping paper and ribbon with a hand made gift tag. As I gift wrap each parcel, I imagine being a customer and receiving my Gorgeous Yarns; I think it makes the yarns even more special! If you have specific requirements for gift wrapping (happy new baby, birthday, younger person, etc) let me know and I will do my best. I am very happy to offer advice if you aren’t quite sure what to buy as a gift, and /or you have a specific budget in mind too. Please ring or email me.

Retirement Flowers

As you may already know if you read our Facebook Page, or Instagram, I have just taken early retirement from the NHS, and I’m now full time with Gorgeous Yarns! Very excited about the futre, all the ideas and plans I have that I will share with you through the newsletter and this blog. Have you signed up for our newsletter? I send it once a month, direct to your mailbox via MailChimp, and you can opt in and out as you like. You can be sure that we will NEVER share your details with anyone else. (The sign up is at the bottom of our home page.)

Hope to see you at one of the shows we are at, and you enjoy being a customer. Toby’s Gardenfest at Powderham this Friday and Saturday, and being a customer again at Cornwoolly on Sunday.

Bye for now, Caroline
